The PK Controversy

The film PK is a fantastic - thats what i was told  but i havent seen the movie yet because it is yet to be out with sub titles.  One of the things that caught the attention of the public other than its posters is the fact the PK majorly questions the famous hindu ritual of pouring Milk over a Hindu Diey.

Before we understand scientifically why this is done, we will see why this is not completely right

1.Let says a very rich businessman buys a Audi or a Jaguar car, we can always ask him, why he needs such a lavish car for himself while he can buy a HyundaiI10 and give the reamining money to the poor people who doesnt even have cycles to buy cycles for them

2.Lets say again a very rich business man has  a huge fluffy bed like the ones you find in presidential suites in 5 star hotels to sleep on.He can always buy a queen size bed and give the remaining money to poor people who dont even have money to buy charpais to sleep in which will benefit a lot more people(Please note that if the businessman's wife has asked him to get that bed, then people without charpai's and the businessman have the right to remain silent and follow orders :) )

3.Say, the same businessman buys a huge house, lets say a mansion bollywood style , for his family,people might ask why do one family need such a big home but can take a 3 BHK Apartment and build huts for homeless in the remaining money.


Well, we can add more examples but the base reason why all of this is done is for pride and happiness for the individual or smaller set of people which is not wrong in any sense.

Similarly when milk  is poured over the idol of the lord in the form of Abhishekam, this brings happiness to individuals or sets of people who are called devotees which are not wrong either.This is similar to how candles are lit on a church or the number of animals killed during Bakrid in islamic festival

Here goes the scientific reason ,  -

The idols are made of stone and they are inside the core of the temple and there are possibilities to develop cracks and fissures.Milk has a protein which forms a protective layer similar to how we apply milk layer in our skin to prevent dryness.This is a scientifically accepted fact.

After  all the pain you took to read all my Blah Blah ,use your brain (If you had used, you wouldn't have read so far) ,Think, what have you done to the society, lets say most of us watched PK and booked  ticket through bookmyshow.com and when you book online, it asks to donate Rs 1 to help underprivileged ,how many of us have ticked it as yes but forcefully pay service charge to book the ticket one. THINK!!HELP OTHERS TO HELP YOURSELF
